TUV Intercert SAAR, an internationally acclaimed independent certification body for system and products has awarded the Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) the latest International Standard Organisation (ISO 9001:2015) Quality Management System (QMS) certificate.

ISO 9001:2015 is awarded to organisations that had demonstrated their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

GOIL, which is the foremost indigenous Oil Marketing Company (OMC) has now moved from ISO 9001:2008, to the latest standard available, ISO 9001:2015.

Acting ISO Secretary-General Mr Kevin McKinley in a document obtained by the Ghana News Agency explained that; ISO 9001 allowed organisations to adapt to the changing world as it enhanced an organisations ability to satisfy its customers and provide coherent foundation for growth and sustained success.

ISO 9001:2015 is less prescriptive than its predecessor focusing instead on performace we have achieved this by combing the process approach with risk-based thinking and employing the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle at all levels in the organsation.
